CA. LUKOSE JOSEPH, BSc, FCA, IP, ID, SA
CA Lukose Joseph is the Senior Partner of Lukose & Sabu, Chartered Accountants, and has more than 32 years of post-qualification experience in professional practice. He is engaged in statutory audit, internal audit and tax audit of companies, including public sector undertakings, partnership firms, proprietary concerns, nationalised and scheduled bank branches, Kerala Financial Corporation branches, co-operative societies and charitable institutions.
His professional experience also includes consultancy and representation in matters relating to Income Tax, Sales Tax and Value Added Tax, Service Tax, Central Excise and Goods and Services Tax, including appearances before appellate authorities and Tribunals. He has extensive experience in financial advisory, provident fund, Employees’ State Insurance and other statutory compliances, preparation of project reports, and registration and regulatory matters relating to companies, limited liability partnerships, partnership firms and charitable institutions.
He is a graduate in Mathematics and has successfully completed the Certificate Courses on Indirect Taxes and Concurrent Audit of Banks conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has also successfully completed the assessment test conducted by the Peer Review Board of ICAI and acts as a Peer Reviewer.
CA Lukose Joseph is also a practising Insolvency Professional registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India and is a member of the Indian Institute of Insolvency Professionals of ICAI.
He has passed the Social Auditor Examination conducted by the National Institute of Securities Markets and is a member of the Institute of Social Auditors of India.
His professional experience includes serving as Internal Auditor of Jyothy Laboratories Limited, a leading fast-moving consumer goods company. His work covered areas such as tax planning, prevention and detection of employee fraud, strengthening collection systems for trade receivables, review of advertisement expenditure, timely statutory compliance, maintenance of statutory registers and records, and staff training.
He has published articles on taxation laws in periodicals and online publications and has contributed to professional education through presentations and knowledge-sharing programmes.
CA C. M. Cherian, FCA
CA C. M. Cherian is a practising Chartered Accountant with more than 33 years of post-qualification experience across industry, internal audit, finance leadership, consulting and professional practice.
He commenced his professional career with MRF Limited, where he served for 12 years in internal audit assignments covering factories and sales offices. He subsequently worked for 11 years as Chief Internal Auditor of the Madhvani Group of Companies in East Africa. Thereafter, he headed the Finance Department of ISE Securities & Services Limited, a stock broking organisation based in Navi Mumbai, for approximately six years.
He later joined G. Joseph and Associates, Chartered Accountants, Kochi, as a partner and handled a range of internal audit assignments for two years. He subsequently served as Head of Finance at Cherian Varkey Construction and also worked as a Chief Financial Officer consultant for approximately two years.
In addition to his professional assignments, CA C. M. Cherian is actively involved in academic and professional training. He teaches Business Laws and Commercial Laws to students of the Foundation Course of the Chartered Accountancy programme and has previously conducted classes on Goods and Services Tax. He has presented papers on taxation, law and auditing through the Chartered Toastmasters Club and continues to mentor aspiring Chartered Accountants.
CA Allen Devid Philip, ACA
CA Allen Devid Philip is a Partner at Lukose & Sabu, Chartered Accountants, with more than four years of post-qualification experience in audit, taxation, financial reporting, corporate compliance and advisory services.
He has professional experience in India and the United Arab Emirates. Prior to joining the firm as a Partner, he worked as Chief Accountant and Internal Auditor at APT Global Marine Services LLC, Dubai, where his responsibilities included financial reporting, internal control review, accounting supervision, statutory compliance and management reporting.
His areas of professional experience include direct and indirect taxation, statutory audit, internal audit, bank audit, corporate law compliance, financial reporting, business advisory and representation before tax authorities.

Late CA E. M. Sabu, B.Sc., FCA, DISA (ICAI)
Late CA E. M. Sabu was a Founder Partner of Lukose & Sabu, Chartered Accountants, and played a significant role in the establishment, development and professional standing of the firm.
During his distinguished professional career, he acquired extensive experience in statutory audit, internal audit and tax audit of companies, firms, co-operative societies, charitable institutions, nationalised banks and scheduled bank branches. His professional expertise also extended to preparation of project reports, negotiation of finance and information systems audit of bank branches.
He was a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and held the Diploma in Information Systems Audit issued by ICAI.
His commitment to the profession, contribution to the growth of the firm and service to clients are remembered with deep respect and gratitude. The principles and professional values upheld by him continue to form an enduring part of the legacy of Lukose & Sabu.
